KIGUMBA

Kigumba Town is in the center of Uganda. It was the location of one of the first major outreaches Connect Africa did in 2004.

It was a surprise to find that if we wanted to reach out to many tribes and the surrounding nations, this was in this area of the country that these groups had landed and refugee sites were established. We linked with a village pastor, Peter Osage who had a heart to see these many tribal groups united and development come to this area, and the conference and outreach we did there became the Connect Africa Ministries model for years to come.

Connect Africa Ministry, along with the help of partners Wine to Water, the W foundation, Newport Vineyard and River church, and our supporters, we able to purchase 2 plots of land just south of town, and we got started building bricks with the ISSB machine.

What has emerged over the next decade has been amazing, with additional plots purchased to give access to the main highway, an outreach house to impact widows and orphans, and the footprint of the CARC reaching into surrounding countries of Kenya, Congo and south Sudan.

The network of Pastors increases by the year, and as the reach of this Community Based Organization (CBO) of servant leaders expands, we also expanded the Appropriate Technologies into repairing bore holes, life skills and sewing trainings, and other transforming technologies.
